Cell Enrichment

Cell Enrichment

Searching for rare cells

Cell enrichment methods aim to purify cells of interest out of a biological sample composed of a mix of different cell types. The enrichment of target cells empowers researchers to refine various types of analysis including enumeration, phenotypic characterization, molecular analysis or further cell sorting.

Enrichment of Circulating Tumor Cells (CTCs) from blood represents the ultimate challenge for cell enrichment technologies, since these cells are extremely rare - in metastatic cancer patients -  approximately 1 CTC per billion normal blood cells.

BEST IN CLASS FERROFLUID TECHNOLOGY

Our proprietary ferrofluid nanoparticle technology immunomagnetically captures rare target cells from blood and is available in two different solutions: our gold-standard automated CELLSEARCH® system and the new and cost effective CellMag product line.

CellSearch System

CELLSEARCH System

Recognized as the gold-standard technology for cell enrichment, the CELLSEARCH system automates and standardizes the capture of rare cells such as Circulating Tumor Cells, Circulating Endothelial Cells, Circulating Multiple Myeloma Cells, and others from human whole blood.
