Manual volume reduction is time consuming and requires experience and manual skills for repeated pipetting with accuracy. This leads to user-dependent, variable results and increases the risk of losing precious cell(s).

VR NxT is a sample preparation instrument that automates the volume reduction steps in your rare cell analysis workflow. With VR NxT you can add precision and accuracy to your workflow to minimize losses of precious cells and increase the throughput.

VR NxT is intended for Research Use Only (RUO) – not for use in diagnostic procedures.

Don’t lose your rare cells

VR NxT can be used in DEPArray workflows and in any other workflow involving a cell-washing/buffer change step. The VR NxT operates with a tubes-holder or strip-holder and waste collection cap.

VR NxT

The benchtop instrument processes up to four samples or an 8-tubes strip in less than a minute and can be used for both live and fixed cells applications. The instrument has two volume reduction programs for general purposes and two volume reduction programs dedicated to the DEPArray workflow.

VR NxT Holders

Different holders are available for processing single tubes (Blue and Grey Holders) or tube strips (Gold Holder, sold separately).

How it works: volume reduction in two easy steps

VR NxT uses the centrifugal force to collect and trap the excess liquid in the dedicated cap. Rare cells of interest can be safely collected from the tube or directly processed for downstream molecular analysis.

  1. The cell suspension must be pelleted using a regular swinging bucket centrifuge.
  2. After centrifugation, tubes are transferred to the VR NxT holder where the rotation axis is positioned right above the cell pellet level. Rotation around this axis generates two opposite centrifugal forces allowing supernatant to be collected in special waste collector caps while cells remain safely at the bottom of the tube.
