Silicon Biosystems has developed a set of solutions based and built around a proprietary lab-on-a-chip technology platform designed to individually identify, manipulate and sort specific cells within a heterogeneous population. Silicon Biosystems exploits the potential of microelectronics to cast miniaturized laboratories for cell identification and manipulation. Based on its proprietary approach Silicon Biosystems has developed a platform named DEPArray™ with unprecedented capability to perform complex protocols, due to an extremely accurate and automated control on individual cell and micro-particles motion inside a micro-chamber. Samples including between 1 and 100,000 cells in suspension can be managed on a single microelectronic chip which ensures independent motion control for each cell by means of a powerful dedicated software.
